PRA Group and Junior Achievement Team-Up at the Local Bowling Alley for a Community-Minded Fundraiser

NORFOLK, VA – PRA Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA), a global leader in acquiring and collecting nonperforming loans, was a presenting sponsor for a “Bowl-a-thon” fundraising event benefiting Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads this weekend.

Held at AMF Norfolk on Saturday afternoon, 18 PRA Group teams joined more than 50 additional bowlers to champion the organization’s cause and bowl for a brighter future. All proceeds aid Junior Achievement’s mission to provide financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship to students across Hampton Roads.

Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads is a nonprofit organization that partners with educators, employers and trained volunteers to provide innovative and contextual learning programs to students in the area. The annual Bowl-a-thon is an opportunity for the organization’s ability to display its commitment to the community, penchant for teamwork and capacity to promote fun experiences.

“Fostering education and financial literacy among the young people of Hampton Roads is a goal PRA Group and Junior Achievement share,” said Jerry Chemplavil, PRA Group’s director of operational risk and resiliency and local Junior Achievement board member. “In our line of work, we help people struggling with debt, and we see exactly where organizations like Junior Achievement can make an enormous difference. We are committed to supporting that, both financially and through volunteering.”
