PRA Group and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Raise Tall Funds While Wearing Short Pants

PRA Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA), a global leader in acquiring and collecting nonperforming loans, has honored Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September by participating in “Shorts for St. Jude.” Throughout September, when PRA Group employees made donations toward the research hospital’s mission to find cures and save children, they were eligible to wear shorts to the office.

While wearing shorts offers a lighthearted break from the typical routine, it also calls attention to the serious cause this philanthropic campaign supports. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The organization freely shares its discoveries with doctors and scientists at local hospitals, clinics and cancer centers around the world. Since it opened over 50 years ago, St. Jude has played a huge part in raising the childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to 80%. In 2022, St. Jude is conducting more clinical trials for cancer than any other hospital of its kind.

Earlier this year on World Cancer Day, PRA Group donated $25,000 toward St. Jude’s effort to close the care gap. By donating to wear shorts, our employees join the company in helping ensure families never receive bills from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food. Our company works to put those we serve first so people in our communities can focus on what matters most, including the support of their family members’ health and well-being—an interest shared by St. Jude.
