PRA Group Partners with UNCF to Honor Advocates of Minority Education and Engagement

NORFOLK, VA – PRA Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA), a global leader in acquiring and collecting nonperforming loans, sponsored the 5th annual Hampton Roads Mayor’s Masked Ball benefiting the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Richmond.

UNCF advocates for the importance of minority education and community engagement by helping provide over 10,000 students with scholarships annually so they can attend and graduate college, thriving throughout their education and entering the workforce as leaders. UNCF provides financial support to 37 historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

In previous years, the UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball has helped to make more than $1 million in scholarships available to deserving Virginia students.

During the 2022 event, the four individuals selected as 2022 UNCF Masked Award Honorees were recognized for having served as a beacon of hope to keep doorways of opportunity open for deserving students and the greater community amidst an evening event filled with festive masks, fine dining, a paddle raise, a silent auction and red-carpet photo opportunities.

Members of PRA Group’s Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee (DISC) attended the event to celebrate the work UNCF does to advance educational opportunities in Virginia.

Ashley Little, a DISC member and PRA Group employee of nine years, reflects, “throughout my career, it has been incredible to witness PRA Group’s growth and continued commitments to community involvement and to sharing its values with its employees. I was thrilled to represent the company at the ball and to share in an event warmly received by all. The inspiring experience UNCF created truly reinforced my belief that to be a leading force for change, you must support the minds of the future.”
