PRA Group Sponsors Playsets in Honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 9, 2021 – In honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, PRA Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA), a global leader in acquiring and collecting nonperforming loans, is sponsoring playsets for children diagnosed with cancer through a $10,000 donation to Roc Solid Foundation.
Roc Solid Foundation, a local organization with a nationwide impact, is committed to building hope among children and families fighting pediatric cancer through the power of play. The Roc Solid On Demand (ROD) program provides these families with children's playsets, step-by-step instructions and fun extras to transform construction into an unforgettable family event that can be shared with the whole neighborhood.
PRA Group’s donation will directly impact six children across the country between the ages of four and eight.
“Each of these children has a unique story to tell. What they have in common is that while they play, their diagnosis does not define them,” said Laura Vanderslice, Total Rewards human resources analyst at PRA Group. “PRA Group gives because we hope when children have the opportunity to forget their cancer for a little while, they remember the recovery for which they are fighting. We are honored to partner in providing such moments through playtime.”
PRA Group is committed to making an impact on the communities in which we live and work. Since 2009, PRA Group has contributed more than $7.8 million to charitable causes dedicated to strengthening the vitality of communities.
