PRA’s CHRO Katie Jones interviewed by the Darla Moore School of Business
Recently PRA Group Chief Human Resources Officer, Katie Jones, participated in an interview for the Center for Executive Succession and the MHR Program at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
“Advancing the “Business of HR” has never been as important – or as impactful – as it is right now, amidst a global pandemic. The business will thrive or perish based upon the capabilities, productivity and availability of its people,” said Katie Jones, Chief Human Resources Officer.
In this interview, Katie Jones spoke of the important role that HR has played over the past year throughout the pandemic and how stepping up to meet the challenge has gone. Refining business continuity and crisis plans as well as Executives coming together to learn and grow as a team has been an important part of the past year for HR professionals worldwide across all industries.
“I’ve never considered myself an HR Leader; rather I am a Business Leader with experience leading different parts of the business that has included HR. Having a business-centric lens in all aspects of leading the Human Resources function is essential for today’s CHROs.”
Jones has served as PRA Group’s SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer since January, 2019 and oversees the corporate Human Resources department for PRA Group globally. She has more than 30 years of HR and Business leadership experience across several industries, with the vast majority of it in the financial services industry.
