PRA Group Executive Presents at Dell Technologies World 2022

NORFOLK, VA – PRA Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA) Chief Technology Officer Chris Burroughs shared her insights into recent innovations and industry experience during Dell Technologies World 2022. The week-long global summit focused on digital trends across a variety of industries, program enhancements and digital customer engagement techniques.

Burroughs elaborated on her experiences building e-commerce environments, the key challenges of planning and implementing a multi-cloud strategy and the importance of situational leadership.

“Willingness to constantly grow and learn is of the utmost importance when it comes to technology,” said Burroughs. “That is why situational leadership is essential when introducing any new technology. Even when you have a highly experienced team, a new program may mean your management style needs to change so you can support them as beginners again.”

In addition to the summit, Burroughs was invited to serve as one of five panelists for Dell Technologies’ Women in Tech series. According to the Boston Consulting Group, only 28% of technology executives are women. The goal of the Women in Tech series is to inspire change by featuring the various roles and routes women pursue to become leaders in technology.

“PRA Group is dedicated to creating rewarding careers for employees and fostering a sense of belonging by working together to build an equitable and inclusive culture,” said Burroughs. “I was thrilled to have this opportunity to represent the company as we partner with Dell Technologies to advance diversity and inclusion—and encourage more women to pursue careers—in tech.”

Burroughs entered the conversation with vast experience leading the technology community throughout her career. She was an adjunct instructor in the VCU Fast Track Master of Information Systems program for many years, is a founding member of the Hampton Roads Women in Technology group and chair of their Community Outreach program as well as a mentor for women pursuing STEM careers. Burroughs is also on the Board of Directors of Communities in Schools of Hampton Roads and is a member of the Tidewater Community College’s Technology Advisory board.
