PRA Group and Sentara Healthcare Partner Together for Employee Vaccination Clinic
NORFOLK, Va., Sept. 27, 2021 – PRA Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA), a global leader in acquiring and collecting nonperforming loans, partnered with Sentara Healthcare to host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for PRA employees and their families at the Company’s Norfolk headquarters.
For each vaccination given, PRA Group donated $25 to the Sentara COVID-19 Community Relief Fund, totaling over $1,000 in support of Sentara’s efforts to provide critical resources and services to help stop the spread of the virus.
“We learned from Sentara that our employee turnout was much larger than what they normally see,” said Kevin Stevenson, president and CEO of PRA Group. “I am grateful to every person who participated and did their part to keep themselves, their families, and their community safe while at the same time representing PRA in the best way I can imagine. I am very proud of what our Norfolk office has accomplished—proud and happy.”’
“The vaccine is imperative to keep our communities safe and help return to some form of normalcy,” said Jane Right, Sentara project manager. “We are grateful to PRA Group for their generosity and for leading the way in welcoming us onto their home campus.”
In addition to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, Sentara also offered attendees the opportunity to discuss their COVID-19-related questions and concerns one-on-one. Many who arrived for such a consultation stayed to receive their first dose of the vaccine.
For Stevenson, protecting not only the PRA Group family, but also the communities in which PRA’s employees live and work are top priorities for the Company.
PRA Group is extending its initiatives to encourage employees to receive the vaccine by giving two full days of paid time off to all regular full-time and part-time employees who have received their vaccine by mid-October.
“Sentara has been an incredible partner in providing our employees with trustworthy educational resources so they can make informed decisions as they take charge of their health,” said Stevenson.
