United Way of South Hampton Roads Names PRA Group Among Award-Winners for Company-Wide Giving Campaign
NORFOLK, Va. – United Way of South Hampton Roads (United Way SHR) honored PRA Group (Nasdaq: PRAA) with a Bronze Trailblazer Award following the results of the financial services company’s 2022-23 global giving campaign. The awards ceremony took place during United Way SHR’s centennial celebration earlier this month.
Trailblazer Awards are given annually to companies and organizations that achieve one or more of the following criteria:
- 60% employee participation,
- Participation included gifts of at least $75 per person, and/or
- The average employee gift was $150.
During its most recent annual campaign, PRA Group and nearly 400 of its employees pledged over $350,000 to United Way and its partner agencies across its international network. The funds will help fulfill United Way’s goal of mobilizing the caring power of communities worldwide to advance the common good.
“United Way has the infrastructure to reach a wide variety of individuals, and their network allows them to make a much bigger impact than I would without them,” said Treena Lauer, senior vice president and financial controller at PRA Group. “I think we all have a role to play in giving back to our respective communities. For some, that could be the gift of their time, and for others, it’s the gift of money, but when you combine those two gifts, that’s where the magic happens and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
2023 marks the second consecutive year that PRA Group’s campaign has earned a Trailblazer recognition.
