PRA Group Supports Creation of New Mural in Norfolk’s NEON District 

NORFOLK, Va., Oct. 21, 2024PRA Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA), a global leader in acquiring and collecting nonperforming loans, is proud to be the presenting sponsor of a new public art mural in Norfolk, Va. “Weatherman” was designed and painted by artist Tim Rodgers, Jr. in Norfolk’s NEON District, as part of the 9th Annual NEON Festival.

Supporting the arts is an important component of PRA Group’s philanthropic investments. The large-scale mural was painted on a 728-square-foot garage wall, located at 727 Boush Street, on the property of CBS affiliate WTKR-TV. The news-inspired artwork depicts a meteorologist, camera crew and bystanders, surrounded by vibrant imagery of the rapidly changing weather conditions in Coastal Virginia. In addition to murals and installations, artist and Newport News resident Tim Rodgers, Jr. has an impressive body of creative work that includes illustrations, sketches, paintings and photography. This new artwork sits adjacent to the 2016 mural,757 Energy & Vibe” by Jerrod Ray. 

 “Weatherman” was unveiled to the public during NEON Festival on October 17 and 18. The annual festival celebrates the energy, passion and creativity in the region. The NEON District is the first official arts district in the city of Norfolk, where PRA Group’s global headquarters is located. In 2022, as part of the 7th Annual NEON Festival, PRA Group sponsored the creation of the “Gourmandizing NEON” mural, located at 745 Granby St., on the Virginia Furniture Company building. In the neighboring city of Virginia Beach, PRA Group also recently donated the funds to bring Neptune Festival’s 50th Anniversary mural to life.
