PRA Group Employees Join Local Foodbank to Pack Meals for Students

NORFOLK, VA – PRA Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA), a global leader in acquiring and collecting nonperforming loans, continued its long-time support for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore with a volunteer “stuffing party” for the Foodbank’s BackPack Program. PRA Group employees contributed by packing nutritious meals for the 53 elementary schools the program serves.

Since 2006, the Foodbank’s BackPack Program has aimed to prevent child hunger by providing food-insecure children with easy-to-prepare foods when other resources are not available. Their program ensures children are receiving the sustenance they need to concentrate, play and grow in body and mind.

In 2020, PRA Group announced a three-year, $100,000 pledge to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. The company and its employees continue to amplify this pledge by giving their time as well as financial support.

In keeping with PRA Group’s core values, the company encourages its employees to be active in their communities, hosting regular volunteer opportunities to encourage engagement year-round. Activities like the BackPack Program stuffing party enable PRA Group’s employees to witness the Foodbank’s work first-hand as it leads the effort to eliminate hunger in the community. Furthermore, these volunteer events also empower team members to make a direct impact.
